Poker tournament series details
To ring in the New Year, the APT heads to the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam. This will be the first time the APT will host its annual opener at a location outside of the Philippines. In partnership with host venue Pro Poker Club, the APT Kickoff Vietnam 2018 will run for 10 days from 19 to 28 January. This marks the APT’s second visit to Vietnam since 2015 but the first in Ho Chi Minh City.
The APT Kickoff Vietnam will be held from January 19th to the 28th 2018 at the pro Poker Club located in District 3 of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

- Main Event and Championships Re-Entry Policy:
- Same day re-entry is allowed before the start of round 7.
- Day 1B – allows players qualifying to Day 2 to re-enter
- Players qualifying to Day 2 with multiple stacks must play the largest stack and surrender the other.
- All Side Events marked with an * are designed to be 2 day events with the Final 8 Players restarting at 1:00 PM (unless specified) the day after starting.
- A side event that is designed to finish in 2 days will become a 1 day event if the Final 8 Players is reached by 10:00 PM.
- The starting level for the Final 8 Players of a Side Event will be at a minimum average stack of 30 times the Big Blind. (does not apply to Turbo events)
- All tournaments except the High Roller Events, Super High Rollers and Satellites will allow re-entry before the start of round 7
- Close of registration for the High Rollers and Super High Rollers events will depend on the number of entries.
- Registration for Satellites will close at the end of the first break
- Minimum age limit is 18 years of age
- This schedule may be updated without prior notice

- ALL Buy Ins and Fees are in Vietnamese Dong (VND)
- All events will be paid out to the nearest VND 10,000
- 3% Staff Charge on all tournaments before taxes except for Satellites and Charity tournaments
- Prizes above VND 10,000,000 LESS the amount of player’s buy-in/s subject to government tax of 10%. Sample computation:
- Gross Cash Prize (VND 20,000,000) LESS 1x Buy In (VND 1,000,000) = VND 19,000,000. 10% Tax will be applied ONLY to VND 9,000,000 (amount over VND 10,000,000)
