The Asian Poker Tour (APT) was founded in 2008. Since its first tournament held in May of 2008 in Manila, Philippines, it has grown year-on-year to become one of the leading poker tours around the World.
To date, the APT has staged more than 70 major events and numerous smaller tournaments mainly in the Asia-Pacific Region. The tour has stopped at Philippines, Macau, Korea, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Australia, London, New Caledonia and Cambodia. Known for opening-up new markets, APT’s most recent new event in 2016, saw the tour visit Noumea, New Caledonia for nine days packed of poker action.
To date, APT events combined have generated over USD 20 Million in prize money all awarded to players.
With its vision of providing a world-class poker experience at every tour stop, the Asian Poker Tour looks set to have its busiest year yet in 2017 and has plans to broaden its reach in 2018.
